  • Ogden Arts Festival

    Ogden Arts Festival

Ogden Arts Festival is a juried fine arts festival, produced by gallery owners, artists, and local art-advocates through a non-profit organization. We value work made by the hands of the individual artists.

The Festival is a natural addition to a community with active art galleries, monthly first Friday Gallery Stroll and other events celebrating the arts. Designed and organized by a grass roots group, careful thought and planning goes into media categories, jurying, location, and amenities for the artists. Our goal is for artists and patrons to enjoy a high quality and professional art festival. We work with generous granting institutions and the Ogden community to raise funds allowing us to keep this event free to the public.

  • Tour of Utah

    Tour of Utah

This year's overall start will be hosted by Ogden which has been a host city for the Tour the past four years. Teams, coaches, media and event staff will spend several days in Ogden prior to the start preparing for America’s Toughest Stage Race. Spectators will not only enjoy a full day of festivities for Stage 1 of the race on Tuesday, August 7, but the top cyclists in the world will return to Ogden for the start of Stage 3 on Thursday.

Garnering world-wide attention for its high-adventure recreation year round, Ogden sits in the northern part of the state nestled between the Great Salt Lake and the Wasatch Front mountain range. Don’t come to Ogden expecting a typical mountain town. This is the place that Al Capone said was too wild for his taste in the 1920s. And while Ogden has replaced bootlegging and gambling with skiing, climbing, kayaking and mountain biking, its soul will always be a bit rowdy.

Outside magazine ranks Ogden as one of the best towns in America. Forbes ranks it in the top 25 places for business and careers. The rest of the country seems to have discovered Ogden. Have you?

Each year, Ogden Pioneer Days is celebrated at the historic Ogden Pioneer Stadium, where the rodeo started and where the feeling of the American west still lives. Bring the whole family and join us for five nights of rodeo entertainment under the stars.

  • Ogden Farmers Market

    Ogden Farmers Market

The Farmers Market continues to grow and be successful today.  The Farmers Market is a community event and its goals have been to support the downtown merchants, enhance the image of Ogden, provide free entertainment and cultural opportunities, and provide our inner-city residents and children with fresh local produce.

One of the best accomplishments to come out of the Market is the intangible and often immeasurable goal of creating a sense of "community.  The Ogden Farmer's Market is bringing a culturally and ethnically diverse group of Northern Utah residents together to interact in a positive and creative environment—on a weekly basis. The Market is a venue that promotes the creation of new friendships and the reuniting of old friends.

If you haven't been to Ogden's Historic 25th Street Farmers and Arts Market, get out of bed or off the couch each Saturday morning from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. Come on down to eat from one of the tempting breakfast vendors with great food from unique locally owned restaurants. You will find fresh breads, scones, fresh cut flowers, nuts, candies, collectable local art, and antiques. Select from produce sold by local growers, picked fresh every morning. With all the great produce, eclectic artists and the wide variety of musical performances, you won't want to miss a Saturday.
