Services and Support

The Ogden City Business Development team provides professional support to companies considering relocating to Ogden, existing Ogden companies, and startup enterprises.

Community and Site Selection

The Ogden Business team provides companies and location advisors with detailed information about the city and broader region, from workforce data to available incentive programs. This information is customized to meet the specific needs of the business. Our team is deeply familiar with Ogden’s sites and buildings and draws from this knowledge to identify the locations that fulfill the business’s criteria. Site selection services include:
  • Customized familiarization and site tours
  • Interviews with existing companies to gain perspective on doing business in Ogden
  • Meetings with state and local officials who administer incentive programs
  • Meetings with workforce, education, and training partners
Once a company decides to locate in Ogden, Business Development staff provide additional support throughout the entitlement process, from plan review through certificate of occupancy.

Business Expansion and Retention

Business Development staff assist existing Ogden businesses to ensure that they are able to thrive. We maintain regular contact with businesses in the community to learn about issues ranging from workforce to supply chain. Our team can facilitate meetings with industry, workforce, and education partners. Assistance with financing and incentive programs may also be available.

Small Business Counseling

SCORE - Service Corps of Retired Executives

The SCORE Association (Service Corps of Retired Executives) is a nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth, and success of small businesses nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner with the Small Business Administration. SCORE Association volunteers serve as "Counselors to America's Small Business." Working and retired executives and business owners donate their time and expertise as volunteer business counselors and provide confidential counseling and mentoring free of charge.
